Red Squirrel Removal
Red squirrels, also known as pine squirrels, are the most common nuisance squirrel we have in Michigan. Red squirrels often chew into homes to store food and give birth to their young. If you have pine trees or a walnut tree in close proximity to your home you should always keep an ear out for red squirrels chewing into your home. It has been shown that red squirrels can have up to two litters a year with litter sizes ranging from one to five young. Most people do not notice a new squirrel infestation until the young squirrels become mobile and cause a lot of commotion. Common areas that red squirrels will enter homes include:- Soffits – roof connections
- Ridge vents
- Gable vents
- Outside corner posts
- Garage doors
- Foundations
- Any damaged building materials
