My name is Ben Stewart. I grew up in the small town of Mason just south of Lansing, Michigan. When I was young I found myself outside nearly all the time hunting, trapping, and fishing. I love the outdoors and have a deep respect for everything Mother Nature has provided.
After high school, I worked on a framing crew, which led me to become a trim carpenter and start my own building company which was involved in all aspects of trim carpentry to full-scale remodeling and barn building. I’ve been a licensed builder with the State of Michigan since 2005.
In 2010, I decided to pursue my passion for wildlife. I sold my building company to my partner and started my first wildlife business, H.A.R.T. I owned and operated H.A.R.T. until 2015 when I felt a desire to serve my community. I became an Animal Control Officer for Ingham County and sold H.A.R.T. to a close friend. H.A.R.T. continued to run successfully until 2019 when the new owner moved and started a new business in northern Michigan.
After working for Ingham County for two and a half years, I began to feel pulled back into building and wildlife. I felt I could better serve the community in consulting and assisting with home repairs and helping community residents rid their homes of pest problems. After much consideration, I resigned from my position as an officer and created a handyman business (Handyman Solutions of Michigan Co.) in 2017. I continued to do wildlife removal and exclusion under a DBA (Bat Solutions).
In 2018, with a long background, reliability, and knowledge in construction and pest removal, I officially founded a new comprehensive pest and wildlife removal company named Stewart Pest Solutions. With Stewart Pest Solutions, in addition to my building license and handyman business, I can now serve my community even more.
